Year 7 Indigenous Welcome

Every year, Emmaus celebrates and welcomes our new Year 7 Indigenous students and families. This event takes place in our Yarning Circle, surrounded by students, families, staff, nature, and a campfire. Students are invited to place their handprint on a totem pole as a reminder of their new beginnings here at Emmaus. This totem pole will remain a part of our Yarning Circle, symbolizing our school and each student’s journey. At Emmaus, we strive to celebrate and honour First Nations traditions and culture.
