Emmaus Eisteddfod

Our Emmaus College Choir and Vocal Ensembles competed in the Rockhampton Eisteddfod last night. The hard work which the students put into their rehearsals was evident and culminated in a wonderful night of singing from the 34 students involved! It was so exciting to see the Choir sections reinstated to the Rockhampton Eisteddfod for the first time since Covid 19 impacted our world. We are incredibly proud of our students, who performed with great joy and communicated the meaning of their songs with admirable skill. The adjudicator commented on the beautiful blend of voices. For some of our students this was the first time that they had stepped onto a stage the size of the Pilbeam Theatre – a daunting task indeed!
Sincere thanks to Mrs Kate Ellis for preparing these six performances and also to Sonya Acutt, Riley Acutt and Claire Masefield for assisting Kate on the night.
